Description

Project Management practitioners are increasingly embracing agile as a technique for managing successful projects. It is a topic of growing importance in project management. Whether you are a PMP® credential holder or an individual working on agile project team, this course will provide you with a comprehensive review of the agile approach. Understand the values and principles of agile and identify methodologies of agile project management with a focus on the scrum method.

Prerequisites

Students working towards the Montgomery College Project Management Certificate must first complete PM101: Methodology Overview. PM102: Practical Application of Predictive Project Management is suggested.

Objectives

1.     Review foundational agile concepts. 

2.     Understand the Agile Manifesto and the supporting mindset. 

3.     Review the different approaches to the agile methodology.

4.     Define the SCRUM team related responsibilities. 

5.     Apply the SCRUM methodology and supporting elements. 

6.     Evaluate value associated with an agile project. 

7.     Construct agile planning strategy and timeline. 

8.     Demonstrate learning through passing a course exam.
