PMP® Certification Exam Eligibility Requirements
To obtain a PMP® Certification you must meet the requirements of the Project Management Institute (PMI), which includes a general educational requirement, Project Management education requirement and Project Management experience. Based on these three factors (a table is below), you can determine whether you can qualify for the PMP® If you are not eligible, you may look to prepare for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Certification Exam.

To be successful in this course, you should have some professional exposure to the duties of a project manager and knowledge by taking courses on Introduction to PM, PM Basics, and Intro to Agile.
PMP® Category A:
General Education
Secondary Degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
Project Management Experience
Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project
Project Management Education
35 hours of project management education or CAPM® Certification
PMP® Category B:
General Education
A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
Project Management Experience
Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project
Project Management Education
35 hours of project management education or CAPM® Certification
Leading and directing the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the Project Management Professional Examination Content Outline.
You should have experience in all five process groups across all your project management experience submitted on the application. However, on a single project, you do not need to have experience in all five process groups.
All project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years prior to your application submission.
PMP® Certification Track: Upcoming Required Course Schedule:
Structured Remote class are online courses that will meet at a designated meeting date and time, live with your instructor. PMI states that to be successful in this course, you should have some professional exposure to the duties of a project manager and knowledge by taking courses on Introduction to PM, PM Basics, and Intro to Agile.
Students must complete the following required prerequisites in order to register for and complete the PMP® Exam Preparation course:

- PM102: Practical Application of Predictive Project Management (PMC037)
- PM103: Practical Application of Agile Project Management (PMC038)
