Nursing Related Programs at Montgomery College
Montgomery College’s nursing and nursing related program offerings are designed for nurses and healthcare providers who need to build skills and knowledge and the general public who want to pursue certifications in the healthcare career fields. Students must understand and meet ALL requirements and/or standards imposed by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Many of these programs have prerequisites, which you must meet before you may attend the clinical session or work with patients. 
NEW Class: Train the Trainer: Preparing CNAs for Success

Meet the Maryland Board of Nursing faculty requirements for teaching CNA programs.

This course is designed to meet the Maryland Board of Nursing faculty requirements for teaching in CNA programs. This 24-hour program for RNs combines classroom learning, instructional technology, and a learning lab where you will demonstrate competency in applying knowledge of the principles of adult learning and methods of instruction. This class is for students who have at least two years’ experience (one in long-term care) and a desire to instruct in an approved CNA program. Tuition waiver applies; seniors pay fee only.

  • Dates: August 13 - August 24, 2024, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
  • Times: T, R (5 p.m.-9:30 p.m.) S (9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.)
  • Cost: $280 tuition + $80 fee = $360; non-Md. residents add $160
