MCRPA Spring 2024 Newsletter

When MCRPA finished the Fall 2023 semester, we thought it was one of our best, with all the events, our members receiving awards, and
attending conferences. However, Spring 2024 ends on an even higher note than we expected.

Our semester began on Wednesday, January 31, with our Chats with the Chief featuring Mr. Steve Greenfield, Interim Vice President/Provost of Applied Technologies, Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education, and Workforce Development and Continuing Education. Mr. Greenfield spoke about his career, starting in public schools and working with various programs targeting minority and underserved populations, eventually leading him to Montgomery College.

Member Spotlight - June 2024, MC Pride & Allies Honoring Diversity and Inclusion During Pride Month & Beyond

At Montgomery College, MC Pride & Allies is a dedicated group of employees committed to creating a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) employees, students, and allies. Many MCRPA members are actively involved in the group, including Anna Donohoe, who serves as chair, Kaylin Nguyen as vice chair, and Megan Cooperman as secretary.

MCRPA Members Receive Outstanding Staff Award

MCRPA would like to congratulate Paul Miller, Yanira Rodriguez-David, and Elysse Meredith for receiving their Outstanding Staff Award today!

Paul received the Staff of the Year Award (third consecutive MCRPA member to receive this award), Yanira received the Excellence in Performance, and Elysse received the Excellence in Innovation Award. Congrats to all!
