MC’s 75th Anniversary

Anniversary Logo

To celebrate Montgomery College’s 75th anniversary, a unique set of logos has been created. They have been designed to align with the College’s brand identity and to provide a consistent way of recognizing the College’s milestone anniversary.

This set of temporary logos is available for use only through October 31, 2022, and is not intended as a replacement for the College’s current logo.

General Logo Usage Guidelines

The anniversary logo should appear on all print and digital materials for anniversary-related events and initiatives. It may also appear on print and digital materials that will be used and distributed during the observance of the College’s anniversary from September 16, 2021, to October 31, 2022. Use the left-aligned version of the logo whenever possible and use the centered versions of the logo when space is limited.

Do not place the anniversary logo on materials that will continue to be used after October 31, 2022, such as business cards, stationery, and signage.

Do not alter the anniversary logo. Avoid changing the logo’s colors, distorting the logo, and adding additional elements to the logo.

Do not create a new tagline or add additional text to the anniversary logo.

Logos Files for Print

Anniversary logos in the print format (vector EPS) are for use within professional design applications, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for any media that is printed. Choose this format for logo requests from design and print vendors for printing publications, ads, signage, or specialty and promotional items.

Logos Files for Web

Anniversary logos in the PNG file format are for use in web design and online media. Choose this file format when placing the logo on web pages.

The PNG format of the logo is available with a white background or a transparent background. Choose the transparent background for positioning the logo over a color background of gray or purple.

Note: Do not save the PNG logo in JPEG format. The JPEG format alters the RGB (81, 35 ,127) and Hex (#51237F) values of Montgomery College's purple; whereas, the PNG format retains these values.

1. Click on the logo you would like to use. The logo will open in a new browser window.
2. In the new browser window, right click on the logo. Select "save as" to save it to your computer.

Logo File for Email Signature

Instructions on how to set up an email signature with the anniversary logo (PDF, ) and an email signature template are available for download. Instructions are provided for Microsoft Outlook and Outlook for Microsoft Office 365.

Email signatures with the anniversary logo should only be used during the observance of the College’s anniversary from September 16, 2021, to October 31, 2022.

Logo Color Palette

Color Palette for the Anniversary Logo in Color 
The anniversary logo uses three of the College’s official colors:

1. Purple, the College’s official primary color
2. Dark gray, an official secondary color
3. Medium gray, an official secondary color

Color Palette for the Anniversary Logo in Black
A logo in black has been provided for situations when printing in color is not possible. Black and medium gray are the two colors used in this version of the logo.

Color Palette for the Anniversary Logo in White
A logo in white has been provided for use against dark backgrounds.

Logo Color Usage

Use the anniversary logo in color whenever possible. A logo in black has been provided for situations when printing in color is not possible. A logo in white has also been provided for use against dark backgrounds.

Always maintain good contrast between the logo and its background. When placing the logo against dark backgrounds, always use the version of the anniversary logo in white.

Logo Sizing and Spacing

To ensure legibility, the anniversary logo should not be smaller than the dimensions provided below. When resizing the logo, resize it proportionately.

To ensure visibility, a clear space surrounding the anniversary logo should be maintained. No text, graphics, or other elements should be placed in this area.
