Partnerships with Accenture and Discovery Communications

To ensure that our students build important career related skills, our department has a number of partnerships with several corporations including Accenture and Discovery Communications. These partnerships provide students with unique opportunities such as having discussions of real-world business and management situations, working on real world projects directed by corporate executives, as well as the possibility of corporate internships.

The department of Business, Economics, Accounting, Management, Computer Applications, and Paralegal Studies (BEACAPS) is located on both the Germantown and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses.  BEACAPS offers a range of courses in these disciplines both in the traditional classroom, online, and/or in a blended (online and classroom) settings. Classes are offered during the day, in the evening and sometimes on the weekend.

Throughout all of our courses, our professors emphasize the use of critical thinking and application of knowledge to assist students in their future academic and professional goals. Our courses are transferable to many four-year institutions as general education or majors' classes and professional degree programs.

BEACAPS department comprises a group of very dedicated faculty and staff with vast academic and corporate experiences in their areas of expertise. The department and faculty office is located in the High Technology and Science Center (Globe Hall) in Office 314 HT on the Germantown campus; and the department office in Building P2 Room 221 on the Takoma Park campus.
