Statement from Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne Pollard on SCOTUS DACA Ruling

Montgomery College applauds today’s Supreme Court decision blocking the rescission of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA). Montgomery College intentionally cultivates its campuses as places where equal opportunity flourishes. We have welcomed DACA recipients for many years and will continue to do so.

MC takes pride in our institution’s commitment to the dignity of all peoples. Diversity is one of the Colleges’ greatest assets and we will continue to affirm the rights of all persons to study and pursue opportunity through education, free from fear around discrimination or harassment around legal status. Our institution will continue to be a place where diversity thrives and where difference is celebrated.
