The organization focuses on assisting vulnerable populations, including survivors of domestic violence, people experiencing housing insecurity, and other low-income community members, by providing tailored support to help them secure and retain employment. |
Community Action Agency – Department of Health and Human Servicesnew window | We will provide assistance and information on our applications for SNAP, TCA, TDAP, CCS, and WPA. Those who qualify may sign up to receive these benefits at the Fair. |

We offer specialized mediations, geared towards families and parents which are called Parenting Plan Mediations. We also offer mediations for the youth, through our in-school program or directly with our office. |
Early Childhood Services – Department of Health and Human Servicesnew window | Montgomery County’s Early Childhood Services Division works to ensure all children are ready to succeed in school and life. We support the development and early education of Montgomery County children ages 0-5. |

Equus Workforce Solutionsnew window | The Work Experience (WEX) is an unpaid volunteer program, facilitated by Equus Workforce Solutions. We aim to equip participants with relevant job skills to secure full-time employment. This mandatory program is for customers receiving TANF, TCA, or NPEP benefits, requiring 20 to 40 hours per week of participation, alongside ongoing job searches. Our ultimate goal is to transition our customers to full-time employment swiftly, driven by their commitment to success. |

Independence Now Inc.new window | The Maryland Youth Leadership Forum (MD-YLF) is a summer program for rising juniors and seniors with ANY disability or those who are graduating from a high school program in 2024 (ages 15-21). MD-YLF invites approximately 30 students from across the state to stay for 3 days in the Towson University dorms. While on campus, students learn about self-advocacy, communication skills, the history of the disability/civil rights movement, and how to create meaningful social interaction with their peers. The students also meet their legislative representatives and learn how to present legislative testimony. Ultimately, the MD-YLF experiences will help guide students to advocate for themselves, learn to live independently, and grow as individuals. |
Interfaith Worksnew window | Providing vital services and a pathway to greater stability. Interfaith Works (IW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs, and employment programs to over 35,000 residents of Montgomery County, MD, every year. While Montgomery County, a part of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, is considered affluent, more than 72,000 residents live on incomes below the Federal poverty line. |
