Welcome to the Laptop Lending Program. We offer access to essential technology resources to help you succeed in your studies here at MC. This program is continuing for the Fall 2024 semester with a limited number of laptops available to any MC student registered in credit-bearing courses. There is no cost to students to participate in this program.

The program is managed by the Digital Learning Center, dedicated to empowering students with digital literacy. We want to provide students with equitable access to technology to achieve their full potential.

Should you have any questions, please reach out to us at dlcenter@montgomerycollege.edu

Borrower Responsibilities and Guidelines

Please carefully consider your need, as we have a limited number of laptops available, and review the information below prior to submitting an application through the link at the bottom of the page:

  • Laptops are loaned on a first-come, first-served basis for the entire semester.
  • You are eligible if registered in at least one credit-bearing course applicable towards completion of a Montgomery College Associate’s degree and/or an ATPA active student. (Course enrollment for the semester will be verified before laptops are distributed to students for lending.)
  • A Waitlist will be kept during the distribution period.
  • If you borrow a laptop, you will need to sign this borrower agreement. You will be responsible for the care and return of the laptop at the end of the semester. You will be liable for lost, damaged, or unreturned laptops.
  • Upon verification of course enrollment, selected students will be contacted via their MC email during the first weeks of the semester.
  • Laptops will be available for pick up by selected students from the TP/SS campus, Student Services (ST) building 304, the RV campus, Humanities (HU) building 312, or on the GT campus by appointment only.
  • At pick up, students will need to bring a photo ID, a copy of their current class schedule, and their M# to confirm registration in courses during the respective semester.
  • Personal software many not be loaded onto the laptop at any time. If students’ class requires specific software, please contact us for review.
  • If you do not check out your laptop or communicate a reason for delay during the specified timeframe for pick up, the laptop will be reassigned to a student on the Waitlist.
  • If the application form is closed, there are no more laptops available for lending that semester.
  • All students who borrow a laptop will receive an email notification to their MC email two weeks prior to finals week with instructions for returning the laptop and power cord.
