Montgomery College is a place to make your move! You can join us in the dance studios on the Rockville and Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campuses.

We offer a variety of dance technique classes including modern, jazz, ballet, tap, and more. We also offer dance theory classes such as introduction to dance and introduction to dance composition.

Our students have multiple performing opportunities throughout the year. You can shine on stage in a student showcase or a musical theatre production.

The Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus features the Cultural Arts Center, which has two theatres (the 500-seat Main Theatre and the 116-seat Studio Theatre) and a large, glass walled dance studio. The Rockville Campus features the Parilla Performing Arts Center (a 516-seat theatre) and a large dance studio.

If you plan to pursue a career or four-year degree in theatre, dance, or other performing arts, start with MC's performing arts degree.

An advisor will help make sure you are taking your courses in the right order.
  • All degree-seeking students must take a central group of General Education courses in English, mathematics, arts, behavioral and social sciences, humanities, and science. These courses are included in the suggested course sequence below.
