Welcome to Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program at Montgomery College. The DMS Program is not a traditional program, it encompasses blended learning, the deliberate connection of educational technology with face-to-face instruction/scanning to enhance and personalize a deep and meaningful curriculum.
DMS is one of the fastest growing professions in health care industry. It is one of the most challenging and rewarding fields in the digital age, requiring professional judgment and problem solving skills. MC's DMS program offers three different specialty concentrations for its students: Abdominal Extended Sonography, Ob/Gyn Sonography, echocardiography, and vascular sonography.

Accreditation
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at MC meets and exceeds the required Standards and Guidelines for accreditation on all our specialty areas of concentration: Abdominal Extended Sonography, Ob/Gyn Sonography, Adult Echocardiography, and Vascular Sonography.
The DMS program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS).
