Mr. Kenneth C. Cook is president and vice chairman of Revere Bank. He is also a member of the bank’s board of directors. His banking career spans more than 30 years of serving businesses and individuals throughout the greater Washington region. Prior to joining Revere Bank in 2010, Mr. Cook served as regional president, suburban Washington, for PNC Bank, where he led a major transition during and after PNC Bank’s acquisition of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation in 2007.

Mr. Cook served as president and CEO of Mercantile Potomac Bank from 1994 through 2007. He led the growth of that bank from $100 million in assets and five locations to a $3.2 billion regional presence with more than 32 locations throughout Montgomery County, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. He joined Mercantile Potomac Bank (formerly Potomac Valley Bank) in 1989 as vice president of commercial lending. He received a promotion to senior vice president and became president in 1994. From 2005 through 2007, Mr. Cook was a director of Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust Company, Mercantile Potomac Bank’s parent company. He served as chairman of its Washington Banking Executive Committee. He was also a member of the senior management team of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation, the $17 billion bank holding company that owned Mercantile Potomac Bank and 12 other banks.

Mr. Cook is a member of the Montgomery College Foundation, serving on the treasurer’s committee. During his nearly 17-year tenure on the board, he has held a number of positions, including chairman and treasurer. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Hospice Caring, Inc. and the DC Metro Board of Best Buddies Maryland. Mr. Cook previously served as chairman of the Montgomery County Executive’s Economic Advisory Council. He has also been a member of the Maryland Bankers Association board, where he was instrumental in influencing state and local legislation. In addition, he has served as an active member and chair of the finance committee at his church.

Mr. Cook holds an MBA from Loyola College, Baltimore, and a bachelor of science in business administration from Towson University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Mr. Cook and his wife, Julie, live in Mt. Airy, Maryland. They have two boys, Matthew and Michael.
