The Star of Bethlehem

The Montgomery College planetarium can present a planetarium show on The Star of Bethlehem the Legacy of the Magi using source material from Michael R. Molnar excellent book .  The planetarium will be set for April 17, 6  BCE and the latitude of Bethlehem which is 31° 42', North.  Power Point presentation used in this show. 

The planetarium shows 1,834 naked eye stars, the Milky Way (the diffuse band of light caused by the disk of our own galaxy), and the five naked-eye planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) under a twenty-four-foot dome with forty-two comfortable chairs.
