Military and Veterans' Benefits
Montgomery College recognizes and appreciates the contributions and sacrifice that our students make as members of the military. We offer extensive military support services, and we can help you access a variety of financial aid and tuition assistance programs available for active duty service members, reservists, guardsmen, veterans, and dependents.
Active Duty, Reservists, and Guardsmen
Active duty military personnel and their dependents are not subject to the three-month residency rule regarding tuition rates. Learn more about tuition rates and residency requirements for military members. The College also offers flexible withdrawal policies for any student called to active military duty via enlistment, activation, or deployment.
Tuition Assistance Programs for Active Duty Service members: The application process, criteria for eligibility, obligated service, and restrictions differ.
Maryland National Guard Half-Tuition Waiver: You are eligible for a 50% tuition waiver if you are a member of the Maryland National Guard with at least 24 months remaining to serve on the current enlistment of the member; OR an officer or warrant officer serving for a minimum of 24 months.
