Complete the FAFSA

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a free application form provided by the federal government. The College uses the information you provide on the FAFSA to determine your financial aid award. In addition to academic year financial aid for fall and spring semesters, there may be limited options for summer financial aid. Please note that the FAFSA is not applicable for noncredit classes. 

How to File Your FAFSA

1. Gather tax information for the most recent tax year you filed (e.g., US 1040 federal return). Also, have W-2 and 1099 forms handy. If you are eligible, you may use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to speed the file review process (download instructions for using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool) (PDF, ) . 
2. Obtain a federal FSA ID (an electronic signature) for the student and at least one parent (for dependent students) at Studentaid.govnew window.
3. Visit Federal Student Aidnew window to file your FAFSA. 
4. After completing your FAFSA, complete the other steps in the MC financial aid application process.
